Dr. Audrey Evans inspires me because because of her complete devotion to making the lives of children and their families better. She combined creativity and persistence with love and deep compassion, finding new ways to support her patients and their caregivers. She knew her strengths and cultivated them. Her work serves as an extraordinary reminder of all that is possible when humanity inhabits the heart of healthcare. Dr. Evans will continue to inspire all of us in pediatrics through her expression of grace and an unflagging commitment to people and her profession.

I want my legacy to be a life in pursuit of meaning and service to others. I want my children, my family and friends to know our love makes it possible for us to see light in darkness. As a doctor, I hope to be known for honoring the infinite potential in my patients, striving to provide the best care and overcoming challenges with diligence and curiosity.  In clinical work and in teaching, I have tried to embrace kindness, humility, grit, and a sense of humor. I hope to be remembered as hard-working, fair, and truthful, and to impart in some way just how remarkable caring for babies and children can be.”
