Unconventional British oncologist Dr. Audrey Evans bursts onto the scene at Children's Hospital of Philadelphia in 1969, when nearly all children with cancer die, and discovers groundbreaking ways to save their lives. In a bid to test new treatments on dire patients, and to provide housing for out-of-town families seeking care, Audrey breaks the rules and goes to extreme lengths to save her children. Inspired by the life of legendary oncologist and co-founder of Ronald McDonald House Charities, an organization that serves millions around the world.
A portion of the film’s proceeds will go to organizations that are important to Audrey and her life’s work.

Hi this is Julia here - screenwriter and producer of Audrey’s Children. In order to write a screenplay you have to have a calling on your heart - you can’t sleep, eat, or function without thinking about this story you want to tell. For me, that’s Audrey’s. I’ve had the honor of knowing Audrey since I was a child. I’ve watched her from afar in her vast endeavors, and have always been awe-inspired by what one person - this person- has and will continue to accomplish.
When I told Audrey I wanted to write a movie about her life, her first reaction was “why on earth would anyone want to watch MY life - what a bore!” That is the magic that is Audrey. She has no idea how much of a living icon she is. Lucky for me, I have always known.
To say that I’m honored that she chose me to cement her legacy in cinematic history, is an understatement. When you love someone as much as I love Audrey, it’s not only a passion, it’s a responsibility to do her life - all 97 years and counting - justice.
To the millions of people whose lives she has changed, Audrey’s Children is dedicated to you. In your lowest moments or in your biggest struggles, I hope you find comfort and inspiration in knowing that Dr. Audrey Evans dedicated her entire life to bettering yours.
